About the Role
The Teacher Aide works closely with the Education Coordinator and Classroom team to create a stimulating environment that supports the developmental needs of young children. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering positive self-images and experiences of success for all children.
This role involves:
- Collaborating with the Education Coordinator and Classroom team to develop, maintain, and monitor individual child education binders.
- Assisting in creating a vibrant classroom environment based on ECERS/ITERS guidelines.
- Participating in lesson planning sessions and assisting with the implementation of the researched-based Creative Curriculum.
- Following the use of child assessments, screening results, and observation data to support developmentally appropriate experiences.
- Building strong relationships and partnerships with families to support children's growth.
- Ensuring compliance with state licensing standards, Head Start guidelines, and ISBE regulations.
- Documenting each child's health, skills, and development, and participating in curriculum planning sessions.
