You’re Not Just Looking for a Job. You’re Ready to Make an Impact.
Do you have a talent for connecting with people, a passion for strength training, and a desire to lead? If you're the kind of person who thrives on helping others grow stronger—inside and out—Starting Strength Columbus is looking for you.
We’re on a mission to build stronger, healthier, more confident individuals—and we need a coach who’s ready to lead from the front.
This Isn’t Your Average Coaching Gig.
At Starting Strength Columbus, we do more than count reps. We’re building a community where Members feel empowered, supported, and inspired to transform their lives. Our coaches are not just trainers—they’re leaders, mentors, and the heartbeat of our gym culture.
Your Role in the Story
You’ll be the coach that helps people rewrite the story they tell themselves about what they’re capable of. You'll guide them through the Starting Strength Method and help them discover strength they didn’t know they had.
As a part-time coach, you’ll also play a critical role in delivering a premium Member Experience—the kind of service that makes people feel seen, supported, and fired up to keep coming back.

Here’s what makes this opportunity different:
- No Cold Calls. No Hustling. You get to focus on what you love—coaching. Our business model is built on relationships, not hard sales.

- Members Who Want to Be Coached. Our Members value professionalism and expertise. They show up committed—and they respect your role.
- Comprehensive Training and Career Development. We’ll invest in your education and development. You’ll grow here—personally and professionally.
- A Clear Path to Leadership. Want to manage a team or run a gym someday? We’re growing fast—and we promote from within.

- A people-first attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills
- Experience in customer service, personal training and/or coaching
