A large heavy civil general contractor is adding a Senior Wastewater Treatment Project Manager (WWPM) to the team in Texas to oversee a project in the Corpus Christi area, and to lead and manage other large-scale wastewater infrastructure projects in Texas. This position will oversee new builds, expansions, and improvements of wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, and pump stations. The ideal candidate has 6 years of experience in wastewater construction and a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and piping systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) projects, including lift stations and pump stations.
- Oversee mechanical, electrical, and piping (MEP) scopes for treatment facilities.
- Manage budgets ($10M–$50M) and schedules to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate with estimators on bidding and securing new projects.
- Attend city council meetings (2nd & 4th of each month) and work with municipal stakeholders.
- Lead business development efforts, securing future project opportunities.
- Build and manage project teams, including Superintendents, Engineers, and Project Engineers (PEs).
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control.
Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience managing wastewater infrastructure projects
- 6 years of General Contracting Project Management or Project Engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment systems, lift stations, and pump stations
- Experience managing MEP scopes within WWTP projects
- Ability to support estimating efforts and assist in securing bids
- Experience leading Project Engineers (PEs) and field teams
- Familiarity with municipal processes, permitting, and city contracts
- Ability to work in Corpus Christi (travel per diem available)
