Job Description:
An experienced Senior Electrical Estimator is required to join our team at Starts Align in Melville, NY or South Plainfield, NJ. This key role will be responsible for compiling detailed cost estimates for large-scale electrical construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating horizontal energy construction projects, including underground utilities, overhead transmission lines, and substation projects. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is highly desirable.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this position, as the successful candidate will be working closely with project teams and stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software systems (Accubid, B2W, etc.) is also a must.
In addition to their technical expertise, the selected individual will possess excellent organizational and time management skills, ensuring accurate and compliant estimates are delivered efficiently.
The job involves collaborating with ownership to identify potential projects, developing cost estimates aligned with company goals, analyzing bid documents, participating in pre-qualification events, and building relationships with subcontractors.
