We seek a passionate and experienced Social Media Manager to join our team and elevate StartX's online presence. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller with a strong understanding of social media strategy and a passion for start-ups, founders, Stanford, and the Silicon Valley ecosystem. This position could be contract to hire.Responsibilities
Develop and execute StartX's social media strategy across key platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)Create engaging content, including text, images, videos, and stories, that highlights StartX, its founders, community companies, programs, and events.Manage social media accounts, including scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring social media analytics.Collaborate with the programs and admissions team to integrate social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns.Stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices, particularly in the startup space, the Silicon Valley ecosystem, and Stanford University.Build and engage with StartX's community and the Silicon Valley ecosystem, understanding where they engage on social media and the best ways StartX can spread the word.Track and analyze social media performance, providing regular reports and insights to the team.Explore and experiment with new social media platforms and features to expand StartX's reach.Qualifications
1-3 years of experience managing social media to grow audiences.Proven track record of creating successful social media campaigns.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong visual storytelling abilities and experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools.Passion for the start-ups, tech, Silicon Valley, and Stanford, and a strong understanding of the ecosystem.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Bonus Points
Creative skills.Experience with video editing and production.
