Job Description
We are looking for a Director of Finance to join the Starz FP&A team in the Greenwood Village office in Colorado. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for the budgeting and forecasting process for key cost centers of the business, cash flow and balance sheet forecasting, internal reporting to the executive leadership team and the administration of our finance database tools. The position allows for high visibility across the company, working with executive leadership in multiple areas of the business in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated background in managing teams, developing new business processes, present well to executive leadership and have strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Responsibilities
Directs the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for assigned business units
Forecast cash flow and balance sheet activity
Prepare and review executive leadership reporting decks and presentations
Reviews monthly & quarterly variance and trend analysis
Responsible for special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested
Manages the development of key performance financial and operational metrics
Creates a team environment and provides coaching and mentoring to team members
Backup for treasury processes as needed
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including supervisory experience
Demonstrated ability to lead others, promote a team environment, coach and mentor
Expertise in Microsoft Excel financial modeling
Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
Strong ability to develop effective policies, procedures and business practices
Proficient knowledge in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with senior management
Knowledge of GAAP
Nice to Haves
MBA, CPA or CMA preferred
Knowledge of the entertainment industry strongly preferred
Experience with Workday/Adaptive insights and/or SAP/BPC a plus
Prior experience with treasury preferred
Compensation
$135,000 - $155,000
