Position Python Production Support
Location: Chandler, AZ (Hybrid 3 days in office and 2 days remote)
Duration: 12 month contract (ext. up to 18 months)
Must haves:
- 7 plus years of Python as well as product support, Splunk and Dynatrace experience. Risk experience is preferred.
- 50% production support
- 50% python REALLY GOOD WITH PYTHON- to write python automate
- SQL PYTHON
- Monitoring tools like splunk and Dynatrace. MANDATORY
- Group is responsible for- Complete Risk for the whole Bank- ADS on the market. All type of risk measures. Traders, hedge. Fixed income equity.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a level 2 Production Support Risk Analyst delivery for all Markets LOB's
- Work under high pressure to deliver risk data and regulatory reports to Market Risk, Credit Risk, Subledger - Finance, Margin Collateral, Risk Managers, Traders and VOLCKER reporting regulators
- First point of contact for business requests and reported impact
- Monitor controls and alert automation for proactive detection and resolution of problem hotspots
- Develop tools and drive efficiency/stability improvements
- Release implementation and post-release testing
- Monitor the scheduling jobs and ensure proper action in case if issues or failures
- Maintain documentation and knowledge repository
- Troubleshoot complex systems issues
- Analyze logs using common UNIX syntax and identify data exceptions, Splunk regex index searches, Elasticsearch
- Execute trouble shooting commands to identify slow programmatic bottlenecks and processing
- Weekend on call rotation (once a month)
- Holiday on call Support (2 or max 3 times a year)
- Respond to requests and inquiries from users within the pre-determined timeframe of our service level agreement
Requirements:
- 7 plus years of Python as well as product support, Splunk and Dynatrace experience
- Risk experience
- Scripting languages: Python, Unix Shell, Perl, SQL (Intermediate level: multi-table joins, grouping results, etc.)
- Prior experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps or Support Engineer
- Prior working knowledge of developing/writing/debugging : Python, Perl, Linux/Unix shell and SQL
- Monitoring/APM tools - Splunk, Dynatrace
- Experienced with CI/CD tools Jenkins, Bit Bucket, GitHub, Ansible.
- Practiced LeanIT / Agile software development life cycles, JIRA Kanban boards
- Relational database - Oracle or Microsoft SQL server database knowledge.
- Able to Support users on complex technical issues, data issues, problems related to supported applications
- Exhibit a strong sense of teamwork and inclusiveness
- Flexible to work for extended hours and on weekends as needed to handle high priority issues, production recoveries, provide support to Dev Infrastructure Releases
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
- Exposure to the Hadoop Framework
- Any UI software like Angular or React
