Position Summary:
Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Administrator handles the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, particularly multi-user computers such as servers. They ensure the internal IT structure of the company remains robust and efficient, handling tasks such as software upgrades, user training, troubleshooting, and network management. The IT Administrator will also impolement and oversee security measures to protect data and manage access controls. This role will provide technical support to employees, resolving any IT-related issues quickly and efficiently. This position requires an individual who must remain abreast of new technology trends and be able to work with a variety of technologies and systems.
- This position will primarily be remote, however, to meet the needs of the business we will only be considering candidates in the Central Michigan area, Greater Lansing area, or Greater Detroit area at this time.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Procuring, maintaining, and administering computers and office equipment.
- Serving as administrator for various corporate software systems.
- Deploying and enforcing security policies and procedures.
- Providing support and resolving IT-related issues for colleagues.
- Manage company IT resources efficiently.
- Assisting with onboarding of new colleagues.
- Suggesting and implementing improvements in procedures and equipment.
- Maintaining knowledge of IT support, help desk procedures, products, and services.
- Managing an issues tracking system and reporting on issue resolution SLAs.
- Travel up to 25% to assist with store and facility IT needs.
Knowledge, Experience, and Education:
- Relevant degree or certifications in IT administration, with basic networking knowledge.
- Knowledge of help desk software and remote control tools.
- Working knowledge of Apple MacOS administration and basic networking.
- POS troubleshooting including receipt and label printers.
- Ability to work independently and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Preferred, but not required, knowledge of Azure or Intune.
- Preferred, but not required, experience as a service desk agent or IT administrator, and understanding of the SaaS or technology industry.
