StataCorp is a statistical software company located in College Station, Texas, with business in all 50 states and around the world. This position would be responsible for managing and overseeing the maintenance of the building facilities.
Job duties
- Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
- Overseeing maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security, and landscaping on the premises
- Troubleshooting and resolving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security, and landscaping issues
- Managing of and negotiating with outside contractors to ensure proper maintenance and repairs
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
- Collaborating with upper management on budgeting for facilities' needs
- Providing updates and answering questions on maintenance and repair problems and making recommendations to resolve
Candidate requirements
- Experience or education in professional trade (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
- Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues
- Strong understanding of building automation systems, for example, iVu
- Ability to conduct small repairs (drywall, wallpaper, acoustic ceiling tile, painting, etc)
- Logically and mechanically inclined
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, vendors, and management
- Vendor management and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies
- Ability to lift heavy equipment
- Possess initiative to resolve issues quickly
