Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set that includes experience with power tools, farm machinery, and heavy equipment operation. This role is essential in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities, particularly in areas related to animal care and equine management. The Maintenance Person will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize power tools and farm machinery for repairs and improvements as necessary.
- Perform welding tasks to repair or fabricate equipment components.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of fields or pastures.
- Provide general animal husbandry care, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring animal health.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently for various maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas needing improvement or repair.
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance roles, preferably in agricultural or equine settings.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of animal care practices is a plus, particularly in relation to equine management.
- Experience operating farm machinery and heavy equipment safely is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
