The State College YMCA is currently accepting applications for part-time Member Service Representatives who will be responsible for ensuring that all interactions with Y members, potential members, and guests are conducted in a warm, friendly, and efficient manner. Staff are needed to fill a variety of shifts throughout the week.
Primary Responsibilities
- Remain attentive and aware to greet everyone that enters the facility.
- Preserve the security and maintain the cleanliness of the front desk/reception area.
- Process memberships, guest passes, and other program sales utilizing the DAXKO Operations system.
- Keep proper reconciliation and close-out of shift transactions, including balancing the cash drawer at the desk area.
- Answer the telephone in a polite and courteous manner.
- Provide tours and information about Y facilities and programming to prospective members.
- Study and be aware of all written materials published by the Y, including the Member Handbook, brochures, flyers, etc. and be prepared to communicate information to the general public.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Proficient computer skills including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, and web-based operating systems.
Salary/Benefits
- $11.00 per hour with opportunities for increases.
