What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teen Court Case Manager (Contractual Position) position at State Courts System - 4th Judicial Circuit?
This is a contract position without benefits. This position with the Duval County Court is responsible for full-cycle case management of youth involved in a pre-arrest diversion program. Responsibilities include assessment of risk and need factors; formulation of program contracts; courtroom management; coordinating efforts between youth, parents and various community service providers; and providing oversight via school and provider visits with the youth.
· This position will provide support for all program activities for the Duval County Teen Court.
· This position will be the liaison between community volunteers and the Duval County Teen Court Neighborhood Accountability Boards who handle misdemeanor cases to facilitate cases involving youth receiving civil citations being served in a restorative justice setting.
· This position will assist in the facilitation of mock trials to facilitate the assignment of appropriate sanctions to participants.
· This position will be responsible for appropriate documentation of all services provided in accordance with Duval County Teen Court policy.
· This position maintains all necessary project data and statistical information.
A minimum of a bachelor's degree and two years of related experience is recommended for entry into this position. Work in the form of internships and/or related studies will be considered.
