Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process and transmit completed loan packages through the lending system (MeridianLink).
- Disburse home equity loans and verify post-closing documents.
- Maintain current knowledge of home equity lending programs and handle member inquiries.
- Track and reconcile fees associated with loans.
- Provide backup for Consumer Loan Processors during high volume periods.
- Review and complete loan applications, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Communicate with members to address loan conditions, approvals, or denials.
- Participate in departmental meetings and recommend procedural improvements.
- Work a rotating Saturday schedule and attend special offsite events as required.
- Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field required
- Minimum of two years of experience in real estate closing/post-closing and consumer lending processing preferred
- At least two years of customer service experience with proven sales and service skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, MeridianLink, and Episys preferred
- Strong understanding of lending laws and federal regulations governing mortgages, consumer loans, and credit cards
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgment to prioritize tasks effectively
- Demonstrated success in meeting production goals and maintaining high-quality standards
