Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct engaging and effective classroom lectures and/or online discussions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on student assignments and exams.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Be available to meet with students based on mutual availability.
- Administer, grade and provide quality feedback on quizzes, exams, assignments, and discussions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance. Grade all assignments within 1 week.
- Answer all student communication within 48 hours.
- Collaborate with lead instructor on curriculum development and improvement.
- Utilize educational technology (Canvas LMS, Starfish, etc.)
- Submit attendance and final grades according to college-established due dates.
- Report outcomes to Lead Instructor/Division as requested
- Maintain communication with the Lead Instructor.
- Meet SFCC expectations of in-service attendance and mandatory training completion.
- Provide a current course syllabus and handouts for each course to students, the coordinator, and elsewhere as requested.
- Complete other duties as assigned by Program Coordinator, Lead Instructor, and Division Chair.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants who meet one of the following credential levels will be considered meeting the minimum qualifications.
- Master’s degree in Economics.
- Master’s degree in related field with 18 graduate hours in Economics.

- Ability to interact with a broad range of people both on and off campus in a positive manner.
- A commitment to the philosophy and mission of the community college
- An understanding of community college students
- The willingness to improve instruction through professional development including pedagogy and technology.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching.
