What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boonville Work Study position at State Fair Community College?
State Fair Community College is an accessible, learning-centered institution, enriching its students and community by providing skills, knowledge and perspectives essential for a changing world.
The Boonville Work Study is an hourly position with responsibilities to assist with daily office responsibilities at the Boonville campus.
Responsibilities may include:
- Greet the public/students at front desk and give tours
- Answer the main phone-line, transfer calls
- Assist walk-ins with general information
- Schedule student appointments with SFCC Boonville staff
- Provide tech support for students and Zoom classes
- Maintain, stock & clean out campus food pantry
- Utilize pantry items to cook meals to share with campus
- Collect campus recycling and deliver to facility
- Provide tutoring support for literacy, reading, English, etc. as able
- Meet with the SFCC Boonville staff and plan campus events
- Coordinate events, make purchases and flyers, set-up, and clean-up
- Light cleaning and outdoor landscaping
- File/scan documents and perform general tasks as needed
- Requirements include a positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
- There is potential for professional growth while working in a positive office environment with a student-centered approach.
- Timeliness, responsibility and dependability are required characteristics, paired with strict adherence to privacy of information.
- Enrolled in at least one on-ground class at the SFCC Boonville campus

Student Work Study Positions are funded based on student FASFA status on a per semester basis. If you are a SFCC student, please check with our Financial Aid Department to see if you qualify.
If you do not qualify for Work Study, this position will be paid with department funds.
Student workers cannot work more than 17 hours a week.
