Starting salary is between $62,041.85 - $ 92,377.68, ($30.79 - $45.85/ hour) based on skills and qualifications,with the high end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience. Where you’ll work:
This is a hybrid position, so you’ll work from home at least 75% of the time, and 25% of the time collaboratively in office.
This is a remote position; however, competitive candidates must reside within 100 miles of the City, State area.

Responsibilities

Overview:
In this role, you will investigate a high volume of complex auto injury claims across multiple jurisdictions. On a daily basis, you will conduct an analysis of your new auto injury claim assignments and develop investigative plans based on the needs of each claim.
Your investigations will include:
- Investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling auto claims in an assigned area to include verification of coverage, legal liability and extent of damage to persons and property, which may require contact by telephone, correspondence, in person, or various electronic media
- Applying knowledge of policies, procedures, laws, statutes, and insurance regulations when determining coverage, liability, damages of injury (first and third party) and property damage
- Recognizing and reviewing claims requiring specialized handling, including identifying issues that may require the use of independent experts or vendors
- Using various electronic resources for claim handling
- Working in partnership with and provides instruction to claim associates
- Most importantly delivering a remarkable customer experience through handling claims involving injury
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills/Technologies:
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills along with high competence in the following: Adaptability, Customer Focus, Decision Making/Judgment, Relationship Building, Technical/Functional Expertise
- Complete all applicable training
- Fulfill state licensing and continuing education requirements, as applicable
- Must be willing to work flexible work shifts as operation dictates
- May work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, based on workload and job requirement
- May be required to work overtime
Preferred/Desired Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Claim handling experience, preferably PIP/MPC (first party medical) or third party injury claims
- Bodily injury and property damage liability claims, as well as uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage claims
HOURS OF OPERATION: The anticipated hours of operation will be 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., customer time. As such, depending on the customer time zone and employee office location, employee shifts may fall outside of 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. employee time. Employees may be expected to work in a shift environment including irregular hours, weekends, and holidays based on workload and job requirements. Employees' work schedules may change based on business need.
LICENSING: The successful candidate selected for this position will receive a job offer stating that continued employment as a Claim Specialist is contingent upon meeting the requirements necessary to obtain appropriate state(s) mandated licenses. This includes successfully completing all applicable licensing exam(s), and background checks required of various state(s). Failure to do so may result in termination.
TRAINING: Selected candidates must be available for mandatory, paid training, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm for 23 weeks. Toward the end of training, employees will receive their regular, assigned work schedules. Training location may differ from physical office location.
