Our Property & Casualty Auto and Fire Data Modeling team needs a talented and experienced Database Designer / Administrator with a robust background in logical data design and understanding of physical implementation across multiple platforms including the cloud. If you have a passion for helping teams design and optimize their data-driven applications, understand the critical importance of data messaging, and excel in both logical data design and data element naming, we want you on our team.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do :
As a Database Designer / Administrator at State Farm, you will :
- Design, Implement, and Maintain : Oversee the development and management of our large logical data model, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the organization.
- Ensure Accuracy and Availability : Conduct data quality assessments and recommend improvements to enhance data integrity and usability across applications.
- Prioritize Internal Consumer Demands : Field requests from various Property & Casualty development teams to assist them with data element naming and ensure consistency with our existing model.
- Collaborate Closely : Work together with Property & Casualty development and operations teams to support data-driven applications and solutions, facilitating training sessions and workshops to promote understanding and adherence to the logical data model.
- Optimize Solutions : Continuously improve and optimize database designs for efficiency and scalability, staying current with industry trends and best practices in data design and management.
