Technical Architect

We are looking for a Technical Architect to join our Customer Channel and Sales Associate teams within the P&C Service Journey Product suite who will engage in cross-product/suite design and architecture. This individual should demonstrate commitment and passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience, leveraging Angular and a modern API strategy. Candidates with architecture and software engineering experience along with a willingness to learn while working in a fast-paced challenging environment are encouraged to apply.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists in analyzing solutions that enable business outcomes, technology selection and placement decisions ensuring alignment with target state architecture
• Applies overarching technical knowledge/skills to ensure quality, integration, and governance across multiple application environments
• Maintains an understanding of how applications and data interconnect across processes and platforms and how they impact end users
• Acts as a trusted advisor and is very influential to leadership decision-making or product teams' direction in the area
• Create strategic architecture assets to accelerate delivery
• Collaborate with Engineers to provide architectural context to engineering patterns and guidance to move P&C toward modernization

Required Skills:

• A demonstrated commitment to life-long learning with interest in maintaining in-depth knowledge/understanding of architecture and design concepts, technology, and business/IT trends
• Ability to quickly adapt to a changing business and technical environment
• Strategic mindset with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and to lead peers in a wide range of architecture decisions involving multiple areas and technologies
• Ability to engage individuals across technical disciplines including Software, Security, and Infrastructure Demonstrated ability to show empathy, to understand and explain the views of others, and to encourage balanced architectural decision-making

Preferred Skills:

• High level understanding of Security and Infrastructure design considerations
• Prior background in Software Engineering and Design is beneficial specifically in the following:
• Experience designing and developing RESTful or GraphQL APIs
• Experience designing and building a single-page application with Angular, or similar libraries such as React, Ember or Vue
• Experience with Java and Spring, or similar languages and frameworks
• Solid understanding of OO design and coding principles (security, design, testing, code quality)
• AWS certifications are a plus

Compensation Range: $85,500-$201,300

For California, New York, and Connecticut candidates:

Potential salary range: $85,500 - $228,750

Potential yearly inventive pay: up to 15% of base salary
