Day in the life of a Technology Analyst in PCM
As a Technology Analyst, you will play an integral role supporting the actuarial and underwriting departments by helping your product team build and support technical solutions to drive results for the enterprise. Through this role, your work is essential for helping design and develop applications to support the actuarial and modeling processes and to achieve the business objectives for our P&C products.
As a Technology Analyst you will:
- Gather, write, and validate business requirements in agile methodology
- Learn new skills and enhance existing business and technical skills
- Practice and support agile methodology and participate in agile team environment
- Support change adoption, communication, and documentation needs
- Build relationships and partner with others across multiple teams and departments to achieve department and enterprise goals
- Provides subject matter expertise from a business perspective about a product or service
- Acts as a liaison/coordinator between the business partner and other areas
- Participates in a variety of activities to implement solutions that meet State Farm's needs: gathering information, conducting research, analyzing business needs, and developing requirements
- Leads team agile ceremonies, grooms epics, features, and stories to maintain a healthy backlog, and works with product manager to set priorities for team
- Provides triage for service requests, alongside other Product Owners, aligned to PCM Technology units
Technical Knowledge & Experience desired:
- P&C product and/or data knowledge
- Ability to write business requirements/acceptance criteria
- AWS knowledge or experience, particulary SageMaker service
- Working knowledge and experience with Python
