We are seeking a full-time Fire Suppression Technician based in Gillette, WY. Experience is preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate.

If you enjoy working with your hands, problem-solving, and taking on new challenges, this is an excellent opportunity to develop specialized skills in fire suppression systems, particularly in heavy equipment for the mining industry.

What You’ll Do

As a Fire Suppression Technician, your role will include:

  • Installation and Maintenance – Work on dry chemical, clean agent, and special hazard fire suppression systems.
  • Inspections and Replacements – Conduct routine checks and replace fire suppression tanks, cartridges, battery units, and other system components.
  • System Testing – Ensure all electronic and manual actuators function correctly.
  • Preventative Maintenance – Keep discharge lines, nozzles, and detection loops in top condition.
  • Field Service and Reporting – Communicate with site planners, utilize mobile service applications, and track job progress.
  • Travel and Field Work – Expect regional travel, including occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call when needed.
