Telework options may be available at the supervisor’s discretion, based on job responsibilities, performance, and operational needs.Who we are looking for: Our ideal candidate will have four or more years of programming expertise (or a bachelor's degree in a computer science field)..NET experience (ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, C#, REST APIs, Entity Framework) preferred. Equivalent experience in another tech stack with a willingness to learn .NET will also be considered.Database Skills – Strong understanding of relational databases and experience optimizing queries.Security Awareness – Understands secure coding practices, data protection, and keeping our systems (and wildlife data) safe. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Analyst Programmer 2:One year of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language. One year of the experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer system user support specialty.Substitution: A bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a related degree with (18) semester/(24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for all of the required experience. An associate's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems may substitute for nine months of the required experience.Special Note: An applicant who is considered under the Substitution above qualifies to apply for this job class IF the applicable coursework is completed within three (3) months of hire. Under this option, an applicant may receive a conditional job offer; however, proof of completion will be required prior to final appointment and reporting for duty.Individual positions at each level in this class series may require expertise in a particular area of programming or analysis. Recruitment and selection will be on the basis of these requirements.For some positions in these job classes, a background investigation including fingerprinting is required.Analyst Programmer 3:Two years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language.
