The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Administrative Services is recruiting for a Analyst / Programmer 5 (.NET Senior Full Stack Developer) located in Juneau!
What you will be doing :
The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADFG) Division of Administrative Services is seeking an experienced senior full stack developer to join our dynamic team and drive our projects to success. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in designing and implementing complex software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for innovation.
- Design and architect .NET and Azure software solutions, employing clean architecture design principles as a senior software developer and solution architect for the division.
- Assist in modernizing desktop applications into a Microsoft web-based environment.
- Participate in the migration and maintenance of applications utilizing Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Collaborate with team members using Azure DevOps to gather system requirements and architect comprehensive solutions.
- Contribute to the development of new technology standards and services within the division.

This position is located in Juneau at the ADFG Headquarters, 1255 W 8th Street, next to Overstreet Park.
The successful candidate will join a small team of software developers and can expect to interact with other ADFG staff, IT contractors, and OIT staff regularly.

Minimum Qualifications
Six years of computer programming experience, of which, at least two years were at the project leader or systems design level. This is equivalent to an Analyst / Programmer 4 with the State of Alaska. Two years of experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer information management support specialty. The specialized experience may be gained concurrently.
Substitution :
A bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a related degree with (18) semester / (24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for one year of the required experience. An associate's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems may substitute for nine months of the required experience in a specialty area. There is no substitute for the systems analysis and design or project leadership experience.
Special Note :
An applicant who is considered under the Substitution above qualifies to apply for this job class IF the applicable coursework is completed within three (3) months of hire. Under this option, an applicant may receive a conditional job offer; however, proof of completion will be required prior to final appointment and reporting for duty.
Individual positions at each level in this class series may require expertise in a particular area of programming or analysis. Recruitment and selection will be on the basis of these requirements.
For some positions in these job classes, a background investigation including fingerprinting is required.
