 College Intern 2 located in Juneau!

This position is in the Excluded Employees Unit (EE) at a Range 09.


What You Will Be Doing:
Administrative support staff play a key role in the Unemployment Insurance (UI) program. The College Intern 2 assists administrative staff with basic office duties but also performs higher-level functions using skills acquired through academic training and experience. This is a dynamic position with additional opportunities directly related to the skills and abilities of the intern.

The College Intern 2 is stationed at 1111 W 8th St, with plenty of free parking, near beautiful downtown Juneau with easy break-time access to the Juneau seawalk. The work is performed in a fast-paced claim center work environment.

Currently accepted, enrolled, and attending an accredited college in an undergraduate degree program while maintaining an academic load of at least six credit hours per semester (eight credit hours per quarter);
AND
In good standing with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher;
AND
Have successfully completed training as a College Intern 1 or 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in the degree program.

Academic transcripts and/or tuition billings may be construed as proof of enrollment.

Appointment and retention in this class series is restricted to students actively pursuing an undergraduate degree program in an accredited college and maintaining an academic load of at least six semester (eight quarter) credit hours per semester (quarter).

Students who have completed spring semester courses and are enrolled in fall semester courses are considered to be attending college during the summer regardless of whether or not summer courses are taken.

COLLEGE INTERN
The College Intern position is intended for students currently accepted, enrolled, and attending an accredited post-secondary college in an undergraduate degree program.

  • Describe your relevant education and work or volunteer experiences as they pertain to the job description above.
  • Provide any other information requested in the job description
