What you will be doing:
- Operate and maintain heavy and light-duty equipment for the upkeep of state highways and airports.
- Maintain infrastructure such as vegetation, signs, fences, bridges, and drainage structures.
- Perform traffic control duties, including flagging.
- Handle winter duties like snow and ice removal, sanding, and minor maintenance tasks.
- In summer, patch asphalt and gravel surfaces, cut brush, and repair signs, fences, and guardrails.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including vehicle upkeep and shop cleanup.
- If designated as a lead, enter daily MMS data and assist with equipment fabrication/welding.
