The Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development's Division of Corporations, Business, and Professional Licensing is recruiting for a Licensing Examiner 2. The duty station is located in Juneau. Teleworking opportunities are potentially available for these positions following an intitial training period.
The Licensing Examiner 2 position performs a wide variety of administrative assignments necessary to ensure qualified individuals are issued professional licenses for one or more of the division's professional licensing programs, including at least one of the division's 21 programs regulated by a professional licensing board. This position's duties include managing applicant files in a variety of formats, utilizing the in-house professional licensing database effectively, communicating with licensees verbally and in writing, ensuring supplemental documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with licensing standards, and assisting the board's lead staff member in preparation for certain board-related tasks as needed. Licensing examiners are often the primary point of contact for the public and serve as a liaison between the division and applicants.Our organization, mission and culture:

The official duty station is located in our main office in on the 9th floor of the State Office Building in Juneau. Our office has updated furnishings and is centrally located in downtown Juneau.
