Job Summary
The Community Involvement Coordinator (CIC) will support the Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) Program (Arizona’s “superfund” program). Community engagement is a key component of the WQARF Program and requires an experienced and competent CIC. The CIC will work with WQARF Project Managers to engage and inform the general public about the remedial activities being implemented at WQARF sites. Specific tasks include conducting public meetings, preparing reports and public notices, presenting formal presentations, interacting with the public, responding to media and public inquiries in conjunction with the Communications Department, and providing project updates.
This position may be available for remote work within Arizona (1 day per week in the office/hoteling).

Job Duties
- Prepare Community Involvement Plans.
- Prepare and submit quarterly WQARF Site updates to CABs.
- Assist Federal Projects Unit with community engagement activities.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and conduct Community Advisory Board (CAB) and public meetings. Responsible for ensuring the CAB and public meetings are conducted in accordance with Arizona Open Meeting Laws.
- Coordinate community engagement activities with city, county, state, and federal government agencies, special interest groups, and the general public.
- Prepare and present project presentations at CAB and public meetings.
- Respond to public information requests. In conjunction with the Communications Department, assist with media requests.
- Coordinate and perform WQARF Site MyCommunity webpage updates.
- Prepare and coordinate the distribution of public notices in accordance with Arizona Rule and Statute.
