Job Description
The Desk Clerk is responsible for managing front desk operations, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Tasks
- Receiving and confirming room reservations, accepting advance credit card deposits, and mailing confirmations and deposit receipts
- Greeting and registering guests, assigning rooms, and answering inquiries about hotel services and local attractions
- Maintaining records of guests' accounts, posting charges to registration sheets, and totaling and balancing cash registers
- Compiling daily activity reports and making wake-up calls to guests as needed
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of experience in customer service, bookkeeping, or related field, is required. Additional requirements may be substituted upon approval of the qualifications review committee.
