What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Representative position at State of California?
Under the close supervision of an Administrator I, the incumbent, in a training and journey level capacity, is responsible for resolving Voluntary Administrative Dissolution requests from domestic corporations and domestic Limited Liability Companies (LLC). The incumbent ensures compliance within tax laws by applying Revenue and Taxation Code (R&TC), administrative regulations, policies, and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for providing technical and sensitive functions on assigned accounts within the Administrative Dissolution Team. The incumbent also works independently to resolve assigned collection accounts and provides excellent customer service including thoroughness of work and timely follow up.
Additional responsibilities include the maintenance of an inventory of collection accounts, locating and contacting debtors, Business Entity (BE), and third parties via telephone to secure payment in full, gather assets, and other collection information. It is the responsibility of the incumbent to educate taxpayers to prevent future delinquency and non-compliance, assist the public in person with collection and non-collection BE cases, assist in the training and development of staff, act as a technical advisor, and review work performed by team for quality and accuracy.

Working Conditions
This position is eligible for remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework.
