Under the general direction of the Staff Service Manager (SSM) I, the Office Technician (Typing) is responsible for the maintenance of BAR's master records, including the creation, transmittal, and purging thereof.

Working Conditions
The incumbent works 40 hours per week in an office setting with artificial light and temperature control. The ability to use a personal computer and telephone is essential. The incumbent must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position at a workstation throughout the day and must occasionally position self to perform a variety of tasks including retrieval of files. The incumbent must be able to type at least 40 words per minute. In addition, the incumbent must be able to effectively communicate.

Special Requirements
The position(s) requires the ability to type at a minimum speed of 40 words per minute. You must obtain a valid typing certificate to be hired for this position. If you do not have a valid typing certificate, you will be scheduled to take the typing test. The required typing speed must be achieved on the typing test prior to being hired.
