Description of Job
This position provides strategic stakeholder engagement, leadership and coordination to ensure EJE branch is aligned to the needs of customers and stakeholders. This position conducts strategic analysis of stakeholders related to each/all EJE programs and enhance communication between transportation communities and CDOT relative to EJE and civil rights compliance competency. This position also develops and implements a consistent branding strategy for the EJE branch.
Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Conducts strategic analysis of stakeholders related to each/all EJE programs.
Responsible for developing thorough change management plans and facilitates strategies for implementing programmatic changes.
Develops and distributes information about EJE to its external and internal audiences by using a variety of avenues such as development of templates for electronic presentations (Google Slides, PowerPoint, etc.), representing EJE at meetings, web site content development, newsletters, and flyers.
Serves as a primary contact during networking and community collaboration/engagement events in collaboration with the Director of the EJE Branch (CDOT Chief Equity Officer).
Research and develop a communication strategy that is appropriate to the amount of change within the program.
Develop and maintain inter-departmental relationships to maximize communications and coordinate EJE communication efforts with agency platforms.
Serves as a lead on outreach events and designs EJE website content
Acts as a liaison for internal and external meeting attendance requests and communications.

Work Environment:
Your schedule will primarily be 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. work hours, Monday-Friday, with the opportunity for a flexible schedule- Opportunity to work from home one to three days a week after training period is completed
- Time spent between office/home and in field/attending events will fluctuate depending on needs of the program
- Travel required during work hours throughout Metro Denver/Front Range
- Occasional overnight travel estimated to be one to three times a year throughout Colorado
- Required to operate light-duty CDOT vehicles

Experience Only:
Nine (9) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to nine (9) years
Education from an accredited college or university with coursework in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, Media arts, Political science, Public administration or another field of study related to the duties of this position will be considered.- AND at least five years of professional work experience, where the primary purpose was conducting program or project management activities like managing projects or programs.
