Description of Job
This position is located in Centennial as the home base, however, provides electronic security system services for the agency in locations throughout the State of Colorado. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- performing maintenance on current and future electronic security systems, access control systems, CCTV systems, proximity cards, and audio/video communications systems;
- installing vault intrusion detection systems and access control systems;
- installing new CCTV systems and audio/video systems including, but not limited to, CCTV digital video recorders, cameras and intercom systems;
- programming IDS systems, maintaining the IDS system user database and providing the central monitoring agency with all information needed to monitor the IDS systems;
- conducting user instruction, semi-annual testing, semi-annual test filing and work logging on IDS systems;
- assisting the ESS Manager with routine maintenance scheduling, system user training, technical materials, inventories and systems inspections;
- assisting the ESS Manager with program administration, program record keeping and program procurement of all equipment and supplies utilizing the current Facility Management Office work order software; and
- assisting the ESS Manager with managing the departmental budget to ensure fiscal responsibility including, but not limited to, equipment, procurement, and future equipment needs forecasting.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
- Two years of technical experience repairing, performing maintenance, installing, modifying, calibrating, certifying, or fabricating access controls and CCTV Electronic Security Systems.
- One year of technical experience programming and installing intrusion detection systems.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Must have and be able to maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License.
- Must be willing to be on-call.
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work with tools.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have experience in installing and programming one or more of the following systems:
- Pelco Camera Systems
- ELK IDS Systems
- Galaxy Control Systems
