Overview
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is seeking a Seasonal Resource Assistant to represent the Fish with CARE program. The ideal candidate will have college-level coursework in outdoor education, aquatic biology, ecology, fisheries biology or management, or environmental science.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead classes and events focused on fish and fishing skills at the CARE education center and various locations around Connecticut.
- Assist in volunteer engagement and be responsible for reporting daily event activities.
- Maintenance and repair of fishing equipment and the CARE education center are required.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license and excellent driving record are necessary.
- Possession of a Basic First Aid Certificate may be required.
- Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) may be substituted for CPR and First Aid requirements.
