**Job Overview**

The State of Connecticut is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its team as a Fisheries Education Program Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for representing the Fish with CARE program while leading classes and events focused on fish and fishing skills at various locations throughout the state.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead classes and events focused on fish and fishing skills at the CARE education center and other locations throughout the state.
  • Assist in volunteer engagement and be responsible for reporting daily event activities.
  • Maintain and repair fishing equipment and the CARE education center.

**Requirements**

  • A valid driver's license and an excellent driving record are required.
  • The ideal candidate would have college-level coursework and/or experience in outdoor education, aquatic biology, ecology, fisheries biology or management, or environmental science.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences is desirable.
