Summary Statement

The Disaster Recovery Coordinator will be responsible for leading the State’s efforts to develop, implement and coordinate disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans across all agency mission-critical environments.� Specifically, the Disaster Recovery Coordinator will be responsible for working with State agencies and their staff to develop, test, evaluate and implement disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans. The Disaster Recovery Coordinator will ensure system and application recovery within defined timeframes.� In addition, the Disaster Recovery Coordinator will train agency personnel on all aspects of the disaster recovery planning and continuity of operations processes. This role will have responsibilities that include: Staff supervision and Leadership Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan creation and testing Project / Task / Resource management Security Awareness Training, partner engagement and relationship management Administrative – as needed, including various meetings, management reporting, weekly reporting The Disaster Recovery Coordinator will report to the CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER.

Selective Requirement

Selective Requirements must be met in addition to the job requirements.� Applicants who do not possess the selective requirement will not be qualified. Applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualification

Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualifications will still be eligible to compete for this position if minimum job requirements are met. Possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Security, Telecommunications, Networks, an I/T discipline or a related field. Possess a Certified Business Continuity Professional certification from Disaster Recovery International or other complimentary certification. Possess a minimum of two years of experience in Security Awareness Training

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training, and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Possess a minimum of eight years’ experience with successful and timely recovery� from a� disaster�incident or simulation. Possess a minimum of�eight years' experience in disaster recovery, emergency and incident response, continuity of operations and contingency plan testing and execution. Possess a minimum of eight years’ experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation action plans. Possess a minimum of�eight years' experience with designing, documenting and implementing disaster recovery�and continuity of operations plans. Possess good communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.

Conditions of Hire
