The Agency for Health Care Administration is Florida's chief health policy and planning entity. The Agency is responsible for administering the Florida Medicaid program, the licensure and regulation of nearly 50,000 health care facilities, and empowering consumers through health care transparency initiatives.

 

Under the direction of Agency Secretary Shevaun L. Harris, the Agency is focused on advancing Governor DeSantis’ vision for Florida’s health care system to be the most cost-effective, transparent, and high-quality health care system in the nation. Current Agency initiatives include implementing Florida’s groundbreaking Canadian Prescription Drug Importation Program, overhauling Florida’s healthcare technological ecosystem, and increasing insight in the cost of health care services.

Position Overview:

 

This is not a remote worker (teleworker) position.

 

SALARY RANGE

Annually: $33,759.96 - $41,693.60   Bi-weekly: $1,298.46 - $1,603.60

Salary is negotiable based on experience.

 

This position has been identified as mission essential. The incumbent in this position may be required to work during the weekend or on holidays. In addition, mission essential personnel will be required to work during disasters, to include but not limited to, work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency work may involve the incumbent to work in another county or staffing location to assist other State Agencies with emergency work. Emergency duties may include, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.

 

A good attendance record is essential for any individual in this position as the work involved occurs daily and is time sensitive.  The individual in this position is expected to report to work daily and on time.

 

The duties and functions of this Administrative Assistant II position includes, but is not limited to, the following:

 

This is independent work assisting management in the coordination of administrative tasks and/or assignments which are complex in nature and broad in objective integration of diverse functions.  Work involves the performance of administrative activities which involve independently planning administrative objectives and priorities.

 

Provides direct support to the Bureau and staff.  Prepares correspondence and respond to telephone inquiries.  Schedules meetings, conferences, and conference calls related to bureau activities.  May represent the Bureau in matters as authorized. 

 

Maintains all personnel records for employees, initiates PARs/CARs, and keeps bureau personnel files up to date.  Acts as Human Resources Liaison by performing all personnel actions.  Prepare, routes, and maintains all necessary paperwork for new job announcements.  Types all forms for the complete hire packet and ensures completed hire package is sent to the Personnel Office.  Handles all the appropriate paperwork for employee departures, retirements, and any other special recognition.

 

Performs as liaison for the bureau’s purchasing, fiscal, and property actions.  Approves and reconciles PCard activity as well as enter all purchase requisitions in My Florida Market Place (MFMP) for purchase.  Approve all invoices in MFMP/FLAIR system.  Monitors the budget for the Bureau of Financial Services.

 

Compiles, analyzes, and produces reports from computerized logs which lists unit assignments requesting personnel actions and budget amendments.

 

Coordinates and facilitates special projects as requested by the Chief.

 

Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

Two (2) years of administrative or clerical experience.  A bachelor’s degree from a college or university can substitute for the required experience.

Must have a minimum of two years of experience with Microsoft Office.
