Duties and Responsibilities
The HSMV Section Supervisor-SES is responsible for the supervision of the daily office operations of the Suspension/Revocation Section in the Bureau of Motorist Compliance. The incumbent in this position is responsible for the supervision of members, scheduling member work assignments, coordinating staff training and development, ensuring proper service levels to our customers, and monitoring computer programs for adequacy. Responsible for overseeing employee positions involving processes dealing with initiating, modifying, and reinstating sanctions against driving privileges when drivers are not in compliance with Florida Laws.

- Ability to supervise subordinates.
- Ability to research problems, develop solutions and communicate the findings verbally and in writing.
- Ability to conduct fact finding interview, investigate, analyze, and resolve complaints.
- Skill in using Microsoft applications to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Skill in training others.
- Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and prioritize work assignments and maintain oversight of support staff.
- Ability to collect and compile data and prepare reports.
- Ability to proofread letters and documents for spelling and grammatical errors.
- Ability to monitor members performance and provide feedback
- Ability to understand, retain and apply applicable Florida Statutes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
- Ability to work independently.

- Using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Providing customer service.
- Preparing written correspondence to include reports, emails, and/or memos.
- Developing process improvements and/or implementing policies/procedures.
- Working in a driver license program area.
- Interpreting and applying laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Proofreading/verifying data for accuracy.
- Using any of the following systems: ORION, TCATS, DAVID, CRS, FRVIS, CSC Expert System.
- Supervising employees.
