Job Duties
- Coordinate with the Bear Creek Senior Forester to conduct interpretive programs on natural and cultural resources of the state forest, area or site.
- Assists in prescribed burns and other resource management projects.
- Monitor, clear and maintain both hiking, biking and horseback riding trail.
- Conducts guided tours and walks.
- Cleans and maintains state forest facilities, grounds and vehicles.
- Performs carpentry, electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Prepares reports of receipts, visitor contacts, accidents and equipment use.
- Relocates, controls and/or removes exotic plants and animals.
- Provides public information and assistance.
- Resolves complaints from public.
- Patrols state forest to prevent wildfires, vandalism and theft and enforces state park rules and regulations.
- Performs related work as required.
