Your Specific Responsibilities

This position is directly responsible for assisting employees serviced by the Central Office of the Department of Health. Under the general supervision of the Human Resource Process Manager, the incumbent in this position must have extensive technical knowledge of personal computers and software, and personnel administration to include familiarity with personnel rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Performs human resources duties in accordance with Section 447.203, Florida Statutes.

Responsibilities In Attendance And Leave

Audits and verifies leave balances for employees who require a leave audit or a verification of leave balances. Makes leave adjustments in PF as appropriate.

Verifies leave and attendance corrections and notifies office in a timely fashion upon completion or correction.

Verifies prior state service for determining leave accrual rates.

Provides technical assistance as needed to personnel staff on leave and attendance.

Provides training as assigned to various levels of staff on comprehensive human resource issues. These duties may require travel. Assists with developing and revising training material on as needed basis.

Completes special assignments and projects as assigned, including running reports as necessary or requested.

Performs Other Duties As Required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to establish working relationships with providers, customers, and co-workers.

Knowledge of computer systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and People First.

Qualifications

Preferred - Experience processing Leave and Attendance via People First. Experience working with the People First system.
