Senior Management Analyst Supervisor - SES

This position is in Tallahassee, FL in the office of Information Technology Services

 

The Senior Management Analyst Supervisor is responsible for managing the data team and information systems operations related to the Refugee Services program.  The manager will work closely with stakeholders to coordinate necessary work for the Refugee Services information systems, including system functionality and report preparation.

 

This position is located at the DCF headquarters in Tallahassee in the Office of Information Technology Services (OITS).  The position is full-time, in-person

 

Examples of Work Performed:

  • Direct the development, modification, maintenance, and operation of the information systems of the Refugee Services program.
  • Maintain refugee programs data and oversee the preparation of standard and ad hoc reports.
  • Provide technical assistance to the DCF program offices, service provider agencies and county governments through workshops, training meetings and on-site visits. This includes technical assistance/consultation regarding the use of the Refugee Services office databases, the collection, analysis and submission of data and report preparation.        
  • Coordinate with the Office of Contracted Client Services (OCCS) and the Grants Administration Unit of the Refugee Services program to ensure that the program objectives and goals are met.
  • Periodically review state and federal laws, rules, and policies to identify areas in which changes would enhance data team program effectiveness.
  • Manage, coordinate, and administer the Refugee Data Team.
  • Communicate progress, obstacles, and accomplishments to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for improving the quality and efficiency of services.
  • Direct and coordinate other special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Proficiency in computer programming languages and software.
  • Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
  • Ability to design programs and systems logic.
  • Skilled in preparing written reports, including statistical data.
  • Ability to process information logically, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field.
  • 5 years of application management experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Oracle tools (including database and Application Express), and Microsoft Access.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with grant compliance requirements.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of experience with SQL.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of budgeting/grants and contract language.
  • Experience with SQL, Oracle tools, and Microsoft Access experience.
