Duties Summary
Exempt, non-civil service, full-time, temporary appointment. The primary purposes of this position are to provide software compliance training to community health centers, community groups, or other entities who will perform community-based Point of Care Testing (POCT) for undeserved communities; implement that quality systems program and assessment of the POCT laboratories; and help testing entities navigate regulatory compliance issues including Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited (4) four-year college or university with a baccalaureate degree in microbiology, bacteriology, or biology.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in compliance software testing preferred. Experience implementing quality systems of laboratories preferred. Experience in performing laboratory tests may come from previous employment and/or college level courses which included a laboratory component. Experience in making in-person or live virtual presentations likewise may come from previous employment or from related experience in college courses.
LICENSE: Valid Hawaii State driver’s license, class 3.
