Responsibilities
- Gather information, make decisions, resolve problems, and respond to inquiries regarding resident account withdrawals.
- Extensive research of internal files, which may require accessing and selecting multiple reporting systems, contacting clients, vendors, or other external sources to obtain information.
- Problem solving and negotiation skills with authority to act on decisions made.
- Serve as a program expert and provide guidance and assistance regarding complex program rules and regulations to ICI staff and residents.
- Frequent communication with internal and external residents, which requires interpersonal skills and a high degree of customer service expertise.
- Function with considerable independence and exercise discretion in applying policies and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of department programs and objectives within resident accounts.
- Experience monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors. Typically gained by at least one year of full-time work experience monitoring records systems, identifying problems and correcting errors.
- Aptitude to analyze information and researching a variety of sources to identify and resolve problems or issues. Typically gained byat least one year of experience performing extensive research and analysis of highly complex or technical material requiring in-depth program knowledge to determine if requirements were met and if they complied with established laws and/or policies.
- Ability to deal with individuals from varying cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in stressful situations. Typically gained byat least one year of experience dealing with individuals from varying cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in stressful situations which dealt with personal, sensitive, or confidential information such as eligibility requirements, health issues, or financial matters.
- Experienceentering and retrieving data using a computerized record system. Typically gained by atleast 6 months of experience in a work setting where you were required to enter and retrieve data in a database records system or other computer records system.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel.
