The Idaho Department o f Juvenile Corrections, Headquarters office in Downtown Boise is now hiring for a full-time Correctional Program Coordinator position to work in the Quality Improvement team. The primary purpose of this position it to develop, monitor and coordinate correctional programs and activities. Serve as the agency Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Coordinator.
Responsibilities :
- Serving as the agency PREA coordinator and implements the PREA standards that will be issued by the Department of Justice
- Prepares and presents pre-service / in-service training.
- Reviews all PREA investigations for compliance with standards and reports results / issues to leadership.
- Submits suggestions for improvement of the PREA process and policies to Quality Improvement Manager for review.
- Assist with developing and writing RFP's, monitors implementation and delivery of services for awarded contracts.
- Providing technical assistance to contract and state facilities regarding evidence based practices.
- Providing Quality Evaluations at state and contract facilities to measure adherence to evidence based practices.
- Developing evaluation and audit tools.
- Serve as liaison with evaluation and compliance, special interest organizations and facilitate communication between the central office, districts, and other units of the department.
- Presenting evaluation findings to a diverse audience.
- Develops and provides training to a varied audience.
- Responds to critical incidents in state and contract facilities.
- Assists the Department with planning and implementation of special projects.
- Manage the agency policy evaluation and revision process.
- Train new facility PREA Managers on investigative procedures and reporting processes.
