- Hire, train and direct admission personnel sufficient to staff gates, doors, ticket windows and office during all necessary hours of operations for Event Services. This includes door guards, ticket takers, ticket sellers, shift auditors, bank tellers and support personnel. This includes Varied Industries Building, Jacobson Exhibition Center, 4H Building, and grounds wide events.
- In coordination with Ticketing Manager is responsible for staff recruitment, retention, and staff engagement. Create ways to recruit and retain staff. Come up with new methods of staff engagement to increase employee satisfaction.
- Oversee staff that performs daily operations including: Ticket Sellers – create work schedules, train in selling procedures, arrange check-in and provide all support information and supplies. Ticket Takers – create work schedules, train in ticket taking procedure, check-in procedure and provide all support information and supplies. Shift Auditor – train staff to prepare Ticket Sellers for event. Bank Tellers – train Bank Tellers in all phases of admissions policy and procedure and provide support involving policies and procedures not clearly stated.
- Recommend, implement and enforce ticket sales policies and accounting procedures for admissions/ticketing functions.
- Prepare reports on ticket sales for use in event planning.
- Develop and oversee proper procedures for ticket sales, ticket revenue reconciliation, and the deposit of proceeds for each event.
- Work with promoters and interim events team to build performances for all interim admission events. Provide pre-sale links to interim events team. Meet with promoters as needed.
- Provide real-time reports to promoters during events and Accounting after the event.
- Problem solve if needed with customers at events.
- Process payroll time reports on an accurate and timely basis for all seasonal employees.
- Assist in developing instructional documents (handbooks, daily gate instructions, etc.) on admissions policies and procedures. Develop procedures for implementing this program and prepare all documents necessary for accurate record keeping.
- Assist in the oversight of banks located in 4H Building and Varied Industries buildings.
- Serve as the backup for Grandstand, Elwell Family Park, Thrill Parks, and Admissions sales pre-Fair.
- Assist with set up and accuracy of all performances including Admissions, Grandstand, Elwell Family Park, and Thrill Parks.
- Assist with on-sale of all pre-Fair performances. Provides customer service by answering phone calls and emails.
- Run and schedule various reports from Etix as needed.
- Assist with the hiring, training and directing ticketing personnel sufficient to staff gates, Grandstand, Elwell Family Park, Thrill Parks, Giant Slide and Ye Old Mill. This includes ticket takers, ticket sellers, bank tellers, Gate Captains, Shift Auditors, and support personnel.

- Aid in orientation for all ticketing personnel.
- Oversee staff that perform daily operations including: Ticket Sellers, Ticket Takers, Shift Auditors, Bank Tellers, Gate Captains, and Curriers.
- Problem solve if needed with customers.
- Assist in the oversight of the bank and auditing process during Fair and processes and procedures as needed for reconciliation. Provide all necessary information to State Auditors.
- Oversee startup and shut down operations required for ticketing program prior to the Fair. Ensure ticket booths are clean and properly supplied prior to use. Administer, maintain and test all admissions equipment to ensure all are properly functioning prior to use.
- Jointly oversee two interns.
- Assist with oversight of secret shopper program to ensure customer satisfaction at the gates.
- Assist with management and recruitment of fundraising groups.
- Coordinate with Special Events on specialty Fair days.
- Communicate and work closely with members of the Etix staff to make sure our needs are met and we’re utilizing all system options for efficiency.
- Provide customer service to our deaf patrons and communicate with an agency to set up deaf interpretation and meet with all parties during the Fair.

- Work with the tent company for order and placement of all tents at the gates.
- Work with Print Shop to fulfill signage needs at all gates.
- Ordering/organizingthestampsanddaysfortheFair. Organize meetings if needed with stamp companies.
- Work with Sponsorship Director, Print Shop and Marketing in the design and printing of QR signage. Responsible for placement of all QR signage.
- Assist with setting up and troubleshooting all ticketing equipment.
- Aid in getting all departments credentialed as necessary.
- Address online ticketing issues by working with ticket representatives. Assist customers with online orders.
- Set up ticket sales for interim events and reconcile after the event is over.
- Work with Marketing and Special Events for various ticket and product sales or interim concerts.
- Monitor for thefts and assist Public Safety with arrests and prosecution as necessary.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Human Resources, Event Planning or other related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of the required experience for each 30 semester hours of the required education.
- Equivalent to completion of two years of college-level coursework in business or a field related to the work and three years of work experience in related field.
