Attorney 3 – $32.02 hr / $2,561.60 bi-weekly
Attorney 4 - $34.26 hr / $2,740.80 bi-weekly
This position comes with a Premium Pay Rate of up to $2.00 per hour as follows for hours worked only and based on years of service at the Louisiana Department of Health-Office of the Secretary within job titles, Attorney 1 - 4:
0 months to less than 2 years - $1.00/hour
2 years to less than 4 years - $1.50/hour
4 years or greater - $2.00/hour

Position Description
Incumbent serves as a specialized senior attorney to the State and the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) in a highly responsible legal, consultative, administrative and supervisory capacity as an Attorney 4 within the Bureau of Legal Services. Incumbent serves as specialized senior legal counsel within the LDH Bureau of Legal Services section and to the Office of the Secretary on legal matters/issues/litigation relating to the LDH Health Standards Section (HSS), involving complex legal transactions for the acquisition, sale and/or transfer of ownership of healthcare facilities licensed by HSS. Incumbent also serves as senior legal counsel in complex litigation at the administrative level or district courts as they relate appeals of HSS decisions. Incumbent will also serve as the prosecuting attorney for the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services (BEMS).
