Four years of experience in the issuance, maintenance, or reinstatement of licenses; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus one year of experience in the issuance, maintenance, or reinstatement of licenses; OR
A bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in the issuance, maintenance, or reinstatement of licenses; OR
An advanced degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.FUNCTION OF WORK:
To ensure that licenses are issued, maintained, or reinstated timely to all eligible and qualified persons regulated by a statewide regulatory Board.
OR
To effect continuing education credentialing for licensees regulated by a statewide regulatory Board as well as continuing education for Board staff.
LEVEL OF WORK:
Experienced.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Broad review from Licensing Analyst Supervisor or other administrative official.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
May exercise functional supervision over clerical staff.
LOCATION OF WORK:
Any Louisiana licensing Board.
JOB DISTINCTIONS:
Differs from Licensing Analyst 1 by the level and amount of independence exercised in analyzing data, performing investigations, and issuing determinations.
Differs from Licensing Analyst 3 by the absence of advanced duties performed at a location as approved by SCS.
- Process all incoming applications (with the exception of renewal applications)
- Draft and maintain all applicant related correspondence
- Provide updates to Executive Director regarding issues, work completed, and outstanding tasks
- Provide information by answering questions and requests from licensees, provisional licensees, applicants, and public via professional, appropriate, and timely verbal and written communication.
- Provide Information to Administrative Assistant and Data Entry Assistant regarding applicants and current licensees and provisional licensees
- Provide information to Board Members regarding Applicants at Licensure Committee Meeting(s) and Board Meeting(s) as needed
- Prepare Applicant Reports for Board Meeting(s)
- Ensure internal database and website are accurate and current • Appropriately document all applicant processing related tasks
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including filing and updating spreadsheets
- Contribute to team effort and protection of the public in a meaningful, professional, and appropriate manner
Salary : $3,127 - $6,136
