As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Training Development Specialist 1, 2 or 3 depending on the level of education and experience of the selected applicant(s).
- Training and Development Specialist 1 (pay grade level AS-612) has a minimum salary of $16.06/hourly; $1,284.40/bi-weekly.
- Training and Development Specialist 2 (pay grade level AS-613) has a minimum salary of $17.18/hourly; $1,374.40/bi-weekly.
- Training and Development Specialist 3 (pay grade level AS-615) has a minimum salary of $19.67/hourly; $1,573.60/bi-weekly.

Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

To train general audiences in basic subject matter.

General from a Training and Development Specialist 3, Training and Development Staff Manager or other supervisory staff.

Job Distinctions:
NOTE: The allocation of Training and Development Specialists is based on type of courses, audience composition and function.
Differs from Training and Development Specialist 2 by the level of complexity of the courses taught, revised or developed, type of audience, independence, and the absence of higher level functions such as: identifying problems which training can correct or post evaluation of existing courses.
- Demonstrate strong professional presentation.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal skills; extensive email/verbal communications with both internal staff and community partners.
- Develops training materials and content for classroom and on-line training classes and presents to staff for the purpose of staff development and maintenance of licensure/certification.
- Develops training materials and content for classroom and on-line training classes and presents to the community to raise awareness of behavioral health issues and impart skills for interacting with people with behavioral health issues.
- Provide specific training programs to help employees maintain or improve job skills.
- Analyze training needs to assist in new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
- Plan and coordinate training activities: schedule classes, participate in the development of classes, handouts, and other materials.
- Coordinates and monitors computer application training programs within the Agency.
- Receives helpdesk calls on computer programs and run reports as required.
- Possess experience working with Electronic Health Records
- Manages and maintains record of Continuing Educations Units (CEUs) completed by professional staff or licensure, certification, etc.
