JOB DESCRIPTION :
The Office of Employee Health and Wellness, Workers’ Compensation is looking for a team member to support the administration of financial needs, to ensure specific timelines are met for processing payments and deposits. The ideal candidate will have a high level of organizational, administrative, and Microsoft Office skills as well as the ability to think strategically. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Duties include but are not limited to :
Resolves contract bill issues / questions.
Audits and tracks payments, receipts, and reports
Provides support for the Return-to-Work program.
Prepares contract bills for payment and ensures payments are made.
Provides superior customer service and administrative support.
Provides financial information to individuals / groups.
Conducts research utilizing various computer data bases, manuals, and case files to respond to questions, resolve problems, make decisions, or provide information needed.
Receives payments and returned checks; research reasons for payments or returns; corrects errors in the Workers’ Compensation database system.
Prepares deposits to ensure accurate payment of bills and receipt of funds, meeting necessary timelines.
Interacts with State of Maine departments, and vendors professionally as needed.
Utilize data analytics to prepare and analyze complex payroll information as needed.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities desired :
Ability to prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities.
Knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
Knowledge of Financial Management.
Knowledge of Database Management.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Knowledge of data analytics.
Knowledge of workers' compensation procedures and practices.

With prior workers’ compensation administration, advantage system experience, payroll experience, general knowledge of working with professional work groups.
