Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to provide managerial level direction for multiple information technology activities and staffs with OET Infrastructure & Operations, while maintaining hands-on technical work with routers, switches, servers, storage, circuits, identity management, remote access and other enterprise level network infrastructure equipment. To assist Asst CIO for I&O in areas including systems analysis, technical support, networks, information services, technical staff support, storage area networks, network security, virtual infrastructures and others as identified by Asst CIO I&O to support Agency’s mission and operations. This position is eligible for Hybrid Telework which is subject to approval from the supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in an Information Technology, Business, or Management field and six years of information technology experience that must include experience with the following:�Information Security Governance, Strategic Planning, Identity and� Access�Management, Network Security, Application Security, Security Awareness Training, Incident Response, Risk�Management, Security Assessments, and Cloud Security, two years of which are at a management or supervisory level. Additional information technology experience will substitute on a year for year basis for the Bachelor’s degree.� A related Master’s degree will also substitute for one year of the general experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess experience in the following: Managing technical personnel in the areas of network infrastructure, server, storage, telecommunications and datacenter management Successfully managing IT infrastructure projects on time and on budget Successfully managing multiple technical projects simultaneously and completing them on or before deadlines Management responsibility for 24x7x365 wide area, local area and metropolitan area networks Advanced knowledge of OSI Model, ITIL principles, IT change management principles and data privacy and confidentiality
