POSITION DUTIES

In order for RICA-Baltimore to maintain a family-driven, youth guided program this position analyzes clinical data and writes reports. Job Duties Include: Providing individual, group and family therapy, clinical case management, psychological evaluations or updates, and clinical advice. Supporting a caseload of up to three adolescents in a residential or day treatment center for emotionally disturbed adolescents.� Conducting psychological assessments, behavioral threat assessments, and functional behavioral assessments Demonstrating specific expertise in understanding the symptoms and treatments for clients with emotional disabilities and mental health issues�� Working cooperatively�with a treatment team�comprised�of nursing/residential, educational and rehabilitation staff as well as social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists.�� Must also be able to generate extensive documentation such as treatment plans, progress notes and reports required in a contemporary mental health context.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:� Determined by the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Psychologists under the licensing requirements for Psychologists, PhD or PsyD. Experience: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Psychologists under the licensing requirements for Psychologists. Must hold a current Maryland License. Minimum 1 year experience in childhood or adolescent behavioral health.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1.�Candidates for this classification must be licensed as a Psychologist by the��Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists prior to permanent appointment�to a position.� Applicants who do not have a Maryland license may apply�before receipt of the required license but the application will be designated in�pending status by the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) Testing Unit. �When the license has been obtained, submit a copy of the license to MDH to�remove the pending status from the application. 2.�Employees in this classification may be assigned duties that require operation�of a motor vehicle.� Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess�a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
