Introduction

The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency (MLGCA) serves as one of the largest revenue sources for the State of Maryland, supporting important state programs and services including education, public health and safety, human resources and the environment. In addition to generating revenue from the sale of lottery products, the MLGCA is also responsible for the oversight of the state’s casino gaming program, providing direction and guidance to its casino partners on financial, security, regulatory and licensing procedures for the facilities. The Agency also regulates Sports Wagering, Daily Fantasy Sports and Electronic Bingo, as well as Instant Ticket Lottery Machines, which are located at almost 90 Veteran’s posts. Gaming in Maryland is a dynamic and growing business that operates around the clock, 365 days of the year.�

Main Purpose of Job

To process orders generated by Instant Game System in order to re-supply Agent’s Instant Game inventories.

POSITION DUTIES

-�Pack Scratch ticket orders sorted by the Sci Trak system for individual retailers’ orders generated from Tel Sell or monthly new game allocations to ship to retailer locations. - Pull and Pack manual orders. - Transfer stock from “Flow Racks” onto the system’s conveyor belt based on the games needed for current orders, as displayed on the Sci Trak system screen. - Load boxes of tickets on to “Flow Racks” to be pulled by the team loading the conveyor belt. - Unload skids of Scratch Tickets shipped from manufacturers to the warehouse utilizing forklift and pallet jacks.�� - Process refused and returned orders brought in by District Managers from retailer network via the GMS terminal. - Respond to incoming calls from District Managers and retailers to resolve shipment problems. - Organize warehouse inventory and rotate stock to accommodate new game shipments. On a monthly basis, inventory shipping materials for the primary Scratch Ticket supplier, currently Pollard. - Review manifest of orders processed by UPS or other parcel shipping company to account for all orders packed and shipped.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience: One year of experience performing administrative staff, clerical, clerical technical, or secretarial work. Notes: 1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience. 2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications: - Intermediate or better skills with Microsoft Word and Excel. - Customer service experience. - Warehouse experience. - Forklift operator certification. - Experience with Sci Trak Order Processing and GBI Sorter.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties may be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates may be responsible for providing their own transportation�as needed to access meetings, remote locations, and job destinations as assigned.
